We have babies!! email for an application!
A few things to take note of. ..........I work extremely long hours so being able to go through adoption applications may take some time. This is not and will not be an over night thing. I have about 3 hours each night after work to do what I have to. Remember I have to eat, clean and take care of rats so it will take time. We also will not do adoptions through the week generally it is on my days off which are on weekends. My first priority is and always will be taking care of the rats first, they get the time I do have. So your patience is greatly appreciated.
How the adoption process works. Once you email that you are interested I will send you a copy of my adoption application. You can fill this out online and sign it electronically until we met up. It has a bunch of question to help me ensure these rescue make it to a good home. I check references both personal and a vet's office. Being honest is the best policy. If you do not know the answer then just say so. I will not just hand over rescues because you really must have them. I will only do it when I feel secure that they are going to a good home. If something ever comes up that you cannot keep the rats I MUST be notified so I can take them back in as needed. I prefer to have forever homes but I understand that life happens just understand that I will always take them back.
Adoptions Fees
Single Rat $20.00 (only if another rat is at home)
Pair $25.00
Fees for spaying an neutering. Does not include adoption fee.
Neutered male $75.00
Spayed Female $85.00
I will not adopt rats out in opposite sex pairs. It is better to spay females to reduce the risk of tumors. Our spay fee is very reasonable and that is only the charge we pay for the spay/neuter nothing else. Feel free to contact a vet and ask the price to remove a tumor from a senior rat. Chance are it is far more expensive to remove tumors. Please email me from the contact us link to receive an application for adoption. All applications will be verified to ensure a safe home is found for the wee ones. Most have been through enough and I wont put them in harms way.
